Welcome to the 100+ New Folks Who Just Subscribed!

Welcome.

I'm Nathan.

I help solopreneurs, coaches, consultants, and experts use AI to grow their email list and write better emails without sounding like a robot or chasing shiny tools.

Twice a week, I share real examples of people using AI in simple, useful ways. Sometimes it’s what others are doing. Sometimes what I’m doing and learning as I build my own business.

Speaking of which:

I've been deep in the weeds finishing something I've been putting off for years.

So instead of the usual format, here's what I've been working on, and why it matters if you're trying to actually finish things instead of just starting them.

I'm Building a Quiz Funnel

In Tuesday's issue, I told you how I used AI to research and design four quiz funnel concepts in about 20 minutes.

In the two days since I’ve been going deeper with the same AI conversation to turn those concepts into something I can actually build and launch.

And I'm sharing it because I think it's useful to see:

AI doesn't just spit out finished work.

It gives you a great starting point, then you iterate.

And eventually you end up with something that doesn't sound like AI wrote it.

It sounds like you would've written it, if you had 20 hours to research, draft, and polish.

Here's What That Looks Like

Since Tuesday, I've been working with the same AI agent to develop one of those quiz concepts:

"What’s Your Solo Success Bottleneck?"

(It's a quiz that helps people figure out the single biggest thing keeping them stuck, and how to fix it.)

I didn't just take what AI gave me and call it done.

I’ve been:

  • Refining the questions and answers so they actually sound like something a human would ask

  • Making sure the tone felt conversational, not corporate, fun even

  • Determining the scoring so people get accurate results

And honestly?

It's good.

Not just functional. Actually interesting. (At least, I think so.)

Here are two example questions, just to show you what I mean:

1. Does your content guide people toward buying, or just wander around making friends?

2. Do you have any systems, automations, or magical elves doing the boring stuff for you—or is it still all on your plate?

Those didn't come out of thin air.

They came from going back and forth with AI, giving it feedback, showing it my voice, giving examples, and asking it to try again.

That's the real work.

I'm sharing it because I want you to see:

This stuff doesn't have to be dry or boring.

With the right prompting and guidance, AI can help you create something that actually sounds like you.

What's Next

Lately I've been prioritizing finishing over starting.

In the past, my problem was I didn't start things I knew I needed to do.

But over the past year?

I started countless projects.

Hopped between them like whack-a-mole.

And only finished a fraction of them.

I realized:

Finishing is the key to moving forward.

This week I'm practicing that by building this quiz funnel.

I've wanted to do this for years.

Never had a clear idea of what to build it around.

Got that clarity recently and started working on it.

In the past, I would have tinkered on the edges for a few weeks, then either:

  • Forgotten about it, or

  • Convinced myself I wasn't ready

This time?

I'm only doing this one thing.

Other ideas pop into my head.

Other to-dos try to distract me.

But I'm shutting them out for now.

By next week, the quiz should be live.

And then I'll have what I hope will be a great lead magnet I'm actually excited to share.

That's the game I need to play more:

Finish before I start.

When I’ve got the quiz funnel done, I'll share it with you.

You can take it if you want.

(Or just tell me if the questions make you roll your eyes and sigh.)

And if you're working on something you've been putting off?

Try this:

Pick one thing.
Finish it before you start anything else.
Use AI to speed it up, but don't skip the refining part.

Then hit publish.
