Your Marketing Has One Job

It's not what you think

In partnership with

Whatever marketing you're doing - social media, SEO, ads, networking - it should all point to one thing.

And no, it’s not going viral or going right for the sale.

It’s growing your email list.

Not "maybe." Not "when you have time."

It’s the job.

Because you must do email marketing if you want a real business.

If you're relying on social media?

You're renting space you don't control.

Today you have 823 followers. But the algorithm shows your post to 17 of them.

Tomorrow? Maybe Zuckerberg or Musk decide to ban you forever.

You can't build a business on hope.

Email is different.

It’s the only channel where you have a direct, consistent line to your customers without begging an algorithm for permission.

Most people won’t buy the first time they visit your profile or your website.

But if you grab their email?

You stay in the conversation. You stay in control.

Your email list is your real asset.

Everything else is rented land.

If you want to grow your business, grow your list.

If you want predictable income, grow your list.

If you want control, grow your list.

Everything you do - online or offline - should push people back to your email list.

That’s how you build something that lasts.

HOW I AI’D THIS WEEK

Yesterday, I got an email in an inbox I manage from an unhappy customer, frustrated with the service.

I was low on energy and honestly had nothing in the tank to respond well.

I couldn’t ignore it, but I also didn’t want to write something reactive or passive-aggressive.

So I opened a new ChatGPT project.

I had it scrape the business’s website to get context.

Then I dropped in the full email thread, added a quick voice note explaining the situation, and asked for help.

A couple rounds of refining later, I had a calm, professional reply that acknowledged the issue without escalating it, and I didn’t have to burn emotional energy crafting it myself.

STEAL THIS PROMPT

Last week I shared I was making a free resource.

Grab the cheat-sheet, try the prompts, then hit reply and tell me what lands (or flops).

Got an audience that would love it? Let’s swap resources. You mail my lead magnet, I’ll mail yours. Bonus: I can also send it to a 55k-subscriber entrepreneur list I manage to keep things fair if your list is larger. Just reply “swap” and we’ll line it up.

HOW THEY AI

She built an app to automate a boring manual task without knowing how to code. Here’s how.

What would you build to save time so you can focus on what matters most to your business?
